Tooth discoloration is one of the most common cosmetic concerns we hear from patients — and one of the easiest to address. Years of coffee, tea, red wine, and everyday wear can leave even healthy teeth looking dull or yellowed. Professional teeth whitening is a safe, effective, and affordable way to restore the brightness of your smile.
At Stephen A. Rodgers, DMD Family Dentistry, we offer both in-office and take-home whitening options so you can choose the approach that best fits your lifestyle and goals. Unlike store-bought strips and trays, our professional treatments use higher-concentration whitening agents and are customized to your teeth — delivering faster, more even, and longer-lasting results.
Why Professional Whitening Outperforms Store-Bought Products
Over-the-counter whitening products are limited by law to low concentrations of whitening agents. Professional treatments use significantly stronger formulas — applied safely under dental supervision — that can whiten teeth by six to ten shades or more. Custom-fitted trays also ensure the gel reaches every surface evenly, eliminating the patchy results common with one-size strips.
Professional-strength whitening agents deliver results that are significantly more effective than any over-the-counter product.
Achieve noticeable whitening in a single in-office visit or within a few weeks with custom take-home trays.
Dr. Rodgers supervises every whitening treatment to protect your enamel and gums from irritation or damage.
Take-home trays are made from precise impressions of your teeth for even coverage and a comfortable fit.
With simple maintenance and occasional touch-ups, professional whitening results can last a year or more.
A brighter smile can make a meaningful difference in how you feel about yourself in photos, at work, and in everyday life.
For patients who prefer to whiten on their own schedule, we provide custom-fitted whitening trays and professional-strength gel to use at home. You wear the trays for a prescribed amount of time each day — typically 30 to 60 minutes — over the course of one to two weeks. The results are comparable to in-office treatment and the trays can be reused for future touch-ups.
Teeth whitening is not suitable for everyone or every situation. It may not be the best option if:
If whitening is not right for your situation, Dr. Rodgers can discuss alternative cosmetic options — such as porcelain veneers or bonding — that may better achieve your goals.
